The World’s Wife can be seen on November 18 in the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht during the What You See Festival. In this witty and chilling opera, the women from Carol Ann Duffy’s poetry collection The World’s Wife come to life. They were not given a role in the history books, but trans bass-baritone Sam Taskinen* now gives them a voice together with Ragazze Quartet.

* As bass baritone singer Sam Taskinen has unfortunately acquired an injury during rehearsals, she will be replaced by baritone Lucia Lucas. Lucia Lucas has sung in all the earlier performances of The World’s Wife and her stepping in will make for a great performance together with Ragazze Quartet.
