September Me Festival 2025

September Me Festival will turn Amersfoort, The Netherlands, into the centre of (classical) music for the ninth time from 25 to 28 September 2025. We, as curators of the festival, have put together an adventurous programme with both international and Amersfoort-based makers, this year inspired by the theme “Under Water”.

Programme
With Flint Theatre as the vibrant festival heart, you can dive into four days in a sparkling festival programme. Water – full of mysterious life, water that flows, ripples, rushes, waves, calms and floods – is the inspiration for many of the programmes in Flint, De Lieve Vrouw, Veerensmederij, Sint Aegtenkapel, Scholen voor de Kunst and swimming pool Amerena.

Artist in Focus
Considered as the “Paganini of the double bass”, French/Catalan Renaud Garcia-Fons is this year’s Artist in Focus of the festival. Garcia-Fons enchants with his unique playing style, merging jazz, flamenco and world music. With unprecedented technique and passion, he transforms his five-string bass into an orchestra in its own right.

Be surprised by dinner concerts, coffee concerts, musical theatre performances, youth performances, an (under)water concert and various premieres. In between you can visit an inspiring (free) in-depth programme about water in the foyer of Flint Theatre!
