Gabriel Ríos x Ragazze Quartet at September Me

On Friday 26 September at 9.30 PM, we will be performing with Gabriel Ríos at Festival September Me in Flint Theatre in Amersfoort (Netherlands). Gabriel Ríos is a singer-songwriter from Puerto Rico who has had a varied career: once known for his mega-hit Broad daylight, Ríos will be touring Belgium and the Netherlands in the coming months with his latest album Playa Negra. Together with double bass player Ruben Samama, he returns to his Puerto Rican roots on this album. We expect a swinging but also intimate and almost chamber music-like concert with poetic lyrics and subtle folk influences. In the songs on Playa Negra, Ríos reflects on themes such as love, loss, memories and personal struggles. The title track Playa Negra is about a deserted beach as a metaphor for loneliness and introspection.

On Festival September, Ríos invites us to his programme. We are very much looking forward to an exciting encounter between strings and voice!
