Ragazze Quartet at commemoration 80 years democracy

It was a great honour to perform yesterday at the most important institution of our democracy, the Houses of Parliament, and for the King and Princess Amalia, gathered in a Special Joint Session on the occasion of “80 years of liberation – the Speech from the Throne”. A moment to realise how important freedom is and how fragile it can sometimes feel.
We performed the following works:
👑 Erwin Schulhoff – String Quartet No. 1, III. Allegro giocoso alla Slovacca
👑 Rhiannon Giddens – At the purchasers’s option (arr. Jacob Garchik)
👑 Kate Moore – Hy Brasil ‘Sydney Opera House’
All three music pieces are very special to us, expressing the importance of freedom!
If you would like to watch this special session again, you can do so via 80 years of liberation: The first speech from the throne at Dutch National Broadcasting Foundation (NOS) (Dutch spoken).
