About Morton Feldman

Immerse yourself in the serene sound world of one of the most famous string quartets of the twentieth century: the Second String Quartet from 1983 by the American Morton Feldman. A hallucinatory masterpiece that Feldman wrote four years before his death.

The string quartet, which lasts no less than five hours, breaks all records, both for the players and the listeners. Sufficient sitting capacity is useful, although the hallucinatory music will carry you away anyway. Once you surrender to Feldman’s tranquil, dreamy sound patterns, you are irrevocably sucked into it. Feldman’s extremely addictive music is sometimes compared to the finely woven patterns of oriental carpets, objects that Feldman collected avidly.
