Reviews
Garth Knox
'The Ragazze Quartet are a uniquely exciting and innovative group, and collaborating with them was for me a very stimulating and creative adventure, totally rewarding!'
Gramophone
‘Several of these pieces have been previously recorded, but not both the sense of enjoyment as radiated by the Ragazze or Knox himself. Vividly recorded (..) his new release is both provocative and engaging, and can be warmly recommended.’
The Strad
‘The Dutch Ragazze Quartet is all over Knox's tonally-tinged, whimsical music, which – aided by a tight, lifelike recording – is presented to the listener with ideal clarity and tremendous panache.’
Listen to Open Spaces
In the context of 50 For the Future, the Ragazze Quartet has, together ground-breaking composer and violist Garth Knox, released an album with Knox’s most recent works. On this album you will find ‘Four Into Twenty’, written specifically for the Ragazze Quartet, as well as ‘Satellites’, commissioned by the Kronos Quartet.
