Memories of Trees

In our new programme Memories of Trees we will give trees a musical voice and will fill the space with a.o. a new composition for string quartet and tape by composer Kate Moore in a magical world of light and projections.

When we searched for the origins of our string instruments, we discovered the fascinating world of annual tree rings. A fascination with the role of trees as silent witnesses of history was born and will take shape in a poetic concert in which music interprets the memories of trees.

Memories of Trees will premiere on Oerol Festival and will then play in several theatres and on festivals in The Netherlands.
