We had a blast with the sixth edition of September Me! Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant wrote: The power of the festival is the blending together of different genres and disciplines as if it is the most natural thing in the world. We couldn’t say it better ourselves.
On Thursday night Ragazze opened the festival with the South-African cellist Abel Selaocoe. After followed a weekend full of music theatre, a dance performance, hardcore chamber music, thrilling African music, different forms of opera, a dj, a monologue and a cartoon without image. There was old and new music, music from closely and far away. And of course there was good food and a nice bar.
You can get a taste of the atmosphere with our after movie, made by Seppe Ovink!
Ps: On October 26 and 28 Ragazze Quartet, Abel Selaocoe and percussionist Remco Menting join forces again in Amsterdam en Rotterdam. Check our calendar.
